Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) Rule for Food Service Establishments

The City of Biddeford adopted a Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Control Ordinance in April of 2015.  The Ordinance is designed to reduce and control the amount or FOG entering the municipal sewer system thus reducing maintenance and operating costs.  Follow the "FOG History" link below for more information on the ordinance development process and pictures of FOG impacts.

Regulated facilities must comply with the provisions of the Ordinance to reduce discharges of FOG and maintain grease control equipment that may be present.  Review "Frequently Asked Questions", submit a question, or enter the "Registration" page by following the links to the right of this page.

A copy of the FOG Ordinance is available below as a PDF or online.  A copy of the National Restaurant Association's Fog Control Program Toolkit (2006) is also available for download.
