Biddeford's Anthem

A Proud City Rising Where the Water Falls

Words and Music by
DON GNECCO

From our French beginning, people worked the land.
Building their community, watching it expand.
Marching on in faith, working hard with pride,
Building the proud city where we now reside.

Oh Biddeford, a jewel on the shore.
Oh Biddeford, my home.
O Biddeford, your people are strong.
A proud city rising; your bright future calls.
A Proud City Rising Where the Water Falls.

On the great Atlantic, on the Saco’s shore.
Lies a great community, hard work at its core.
Of the towns around, few can make this claim:
We’re the proudest people in the State of Maine.

Oh Biddeford, a jewel on the shore.
Oh Biddeford, my home.
O Biddeford, your people are strong.
A proud city rising; your bright future calls.
A Proud City Rising Where the Water Falls.

A proud city rising; your bright future calls.
A Proud City Rising Where the Water Falls.
