This office maintains a record of each property within the city. The record contains:
- Aerial photographs
- Building characteristics
- Copies of deeds
- Prior ownership information
- Selling prices
- Tax maps
The city maintains these records to enable appropriate assessment of property for tax purposes. However, all of these records are open to the public for their inspection and are available for research or review.
Parcel Diversity
This office contains 8,122 parcels, which are very diverse in nature. These parcels include:
- Coastal area parcels
- Commercial areas
- Industrial areas
- Ocean front parcels
- Riverfront parcels with no access
- Riverfront parcels with ocean access
- Rural farm areas
- Suburban areas
- Urban areas
In addition to the real estate accounts, we also have 531 personal property accounts.
