After School Counselor (Cub Care)

The City of Biddeford Recreation Department is searching for dedicated, flexible, creative and responsible individuals to work as an After School Counselor within our Cub Care Program.  The Cub Care program serves local youth grades K-6 within the Biddeford school system by providing after school programs, structured playtime, homework assistance, etc.  Interested individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team.  Must have the ability to communicate and effectively motivate youth grades K-6.  Work involves organizing and planning activities and the direct supervision of children.  Cub Care Programs run Monday-Friday from 2:00-5:30 p.m.  Additional hours may be available during early dismissals and school breaks.

Position Outline: Interested individuals should have experience-supervising children.  Must be motivated, responsible, organized and must excel at developing/implementing youth programs.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma (or equivalent), Preferred CPR & First Aid Certification.

Starting wage is 12.00 per hour - 15-17 hours per week
