The Policy Committee shall consist of a Council chairperson, who shall be a city councilor, two(2) Council members and two (2) citizens. The two citizen members shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The committee shall meet the second Monday of each month at 7:00p.m.
The Policy Committee is responsible for establishing and recommending ordinance language, code revisions (except for Chapter 42, Motor Vehicles and Traffic) and city policy to the full council. The Policy Committee coordinates with the City Planner and the Code Enforcement Officer regarding the amendment, establishment, and update of the city's land use ordinances.
