The Solid Waste Management Commission works with the Public Works Department to manage the City of Biddeford’s solid waste infrastructure and programs.
The Solid Waste Management Commission is composed of nine voting members, two of which are members of the City Council. All non-Councilor members are nominated by the Mayor for a three-year term and confirmed by the City Council. Councilors serve two-year terms. The commission chairperson is appointed by the Mayor.
