If you watch the most recent city council video (public record), you will see at approximately 1:15:36 in the video an at-large city councilor is speaking about official city communications. Specifically, she references an email where the mayor, in his official capacity, alerted the citizens about information pertaining to the subject being discussed. Again, as a reminder, the Attorney General's office has made it abundantly clear that this is, without a doubt, something that must be considered public record.
I am requesting the opportunity to inspect:
The email itself and, if appropriate, any applicable metadata
Any responses to that email
Any other public records associated with the creation of (did some language get copied and pasted into that email?), sending of, response to or discussion about that email
Please extend this search to include any files that may have been deleted. If you find any public records were destructed, I humbly request an investigation be conducted to understand what happened and how to prevent it in the future.
