Fast-paced municipal Planning & Development Office with a 5-person professional staff seeks a high-energy, tech-savvy self-starter with a positive attitude and customer service focus to help manage and modernize operations in the exciting new role of Office Administrator. This full-time hourly position requires someone with excellent organizational, communication, and administrative support skills to effectively manage the calendars of others while flexing their own work schedule to attend occasional evening meetings. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a related field, be eager to participate in Urban Planning & Economic/Community Development work, and bring with them the following skillset and attributes:

  • Budget oversight, invoice-management and account-reconciliation ability
  • Agenda-preparation, notice-posting and minute-taking skills
  • Data entry, file upkeep, and payment-processing experience
  • English proficiency and strong attention to detail
  • Serving the public and helping them apply for programs administered by the Department
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within strict State and Federal rules and regulations
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Contract management skills highly desired
  • Familiarity with municipal or federal software a plus
