Notice is hereby given that the City of Biddeford Department of Public works is requesting sealed proposals to contract with a firm to replace existing steel roofing and insulation on a 60'x80' (plus door pockets) unheated steel aircraft hangar. Provide a minimum 20-year Manufacturer's Warranty and Installer's Guarantee from the date of substantial completion.

Proposal Procedure and Critical Dates

A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Biddeford Municipal Airport (88 Landry Street, Biddeford, Maine 04005). All contractors are encouraged to attend.

1. Questions/requests for clarification must be submitted to airportmanager@biddefordmaine.org no later than 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021.
2. Responses to questions/requests for clarification will be posted to the City of Biddeford website no later than 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
3. Proposals must be received no later than 1:00 p.m. on March 18, 2021. Proposals may be sent via regular mail, express mail, or hand-delivered to:

The CITY is not responsible for misdirected, lost, or late submittals. Proposals received after the designated time will not be accepted. All proposals will be required to remain valid for a period of sixty (60) days.

Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked "Proposal for Hangar Roof". Proposals shall state the Total Cost of the Roof replacement or repair at 88 Landry Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.

The City of Biddeford reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to negotiate with any responders, make any awards or any rejections in what it alone considers to be in the best interest of the City.
