Good afternoon Shannon,
Thank you for your Freedom of Access Act request dated September 24, 2021.
The City of Biddeford typically provides all relevant records in a digital format via email. If you would prefer to review files in person or receive paper copies of the files, as was mentioned in your request, we can arrange for that instead.
We assess fees for FOAA requests based on the amount of staff time it takes to fulfill the request. It is the City of Biddeford’s policy to provide the first hour of work for a FOAA request at no cost. After the first hour, there is a charge of $15 per additional hour of staff time.
We expect that it will take about two hours of staff time to fulfill your request. Therefore, we expect the fee associated with this request to be $15. If the time needed to complete the work is less than the estimated two hours, you will only be charged for the actual time that it took to complete the request.
Please let me know if you accept this fee and would like to proceed with the request. Once I receive that confirmation, I will ask staff to begin gathering the documentation.
