Good Day,

We are researching a group of properties known as Pepperell Mills Campus, consisting of the following properties: 2, 6, 32-40 Main Street; 1-15 York Street; 44-50 Laconia Street 10 West Point Lane (Parcels: 71-12; 71-6; 71-10; 71-11; 71-10-1)

We are seeking to request a Zoning Verification Letter that identifies the zoning of the properties.

Additionally, we are seeking to request records pertaining to the properties such as copies of any open Building Code, Zoning Code, or Fire Code Violations / Copies of Certificates of Occupancy, etc.

Attached is our formal request for a Zoning Verification Letter along with a second attachment which is our open records request, requesting specific records pertaining to the property.

Hello Christopher,

I have attached the documents that we have available that will fulfill your request. 

Under the Maine Freedom of Access Act, there is no fee for the first two hours of work on a FOAA request. Another individual from your company had previously requested this information from us, so we had it on hand and were able to complete the request within two hours.

I have gone through the Certificates of Occupancy that were provided for the Pepperell Mills Campus (2, 6, 32-40 Main Street; 1-15 York Street; 44-50 Laconia Street 10 West Point) (Parcels: 71-12; 71-6; 71-10; 71-11; 71-10-1)

There seems to be a large amount of tenants that we are missing Certificates of Occupancy for.

Attached is a spreadsheet of all the tenants that we currently do not have COs for.

We would like to request via Public Records Request, Copies of Certificates of Occupancy for the tenants provided via spreadsheet.

If there are no other Certificates of Occupancy available and all were previously provided, please let me know.

Good morning,

The Code Enforcement office has confirmed that they have submitted all of the Certificates of Occupancy that we have in our files with the original request.

The previous owners of this property were not reliable about calling the City every time a new business moved in. If construction would be required, they would come in for a permit and the Codes office would do an inspection and then issue a C/O. However, if a tenant moved out and a new tenant would move in without construction, the City would not be informed. Hence, a lot of businesses in that building are without Certificates of Occupancy.
