Applications for Absentee Ballots Available

Applications for Absentee Ballots are now available for the State and Biddeford Municipal Election on November 7, 2023. Please note that this is for applications only. The actual absentee ballots will be available on October 7.

There are three ways to request an application:

  1. Online: Maine Absentee Ballot Request
  2. In person at the City Clerk's Office at City Hall (205 Main Street)
  3. By phone:  207-571-0700

Nomination Papers

Nomination Papers for all registered voters who wish to seek political office in the MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION to be held on November 7, 2023 are now available in the City Clerk’s Office.

 

THE FOLLOWING OFFICES ARE UP FOR ELECTION:

MAYOR -                                                             125 SIGNATURES REQUIRED

COUNCILOR-AT-LARGE -                                   50 SIGNATURES REQUIRED

COUNCILOR BY WARD -                                    25 SIGNATURES REQUIRED

SCHOOL COMMITTEE (AT LARGE) -               25 SIGNATURES REQUIRED

WARDEN/WARD CLERK BY WARD -           20 SIGNATURES REQUIRED

 

All Nomination Papers, with the required amount of signatures are due in the City Clerk’s Office prior to and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

City Clerk’s Office hours are Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A lottery drawing to determine the order of the candidates’ names on the Official Ballot will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Clerk’s office.

Municipal Candidates for November 7, 2023
