Do you want to make a difference in your community? Find solutions to issues that you are passionate about? Have your voice heard by your government representatives? Join the Biddeford Youth Advisory Council!

The BYAC was established to give Biddeford youth a voice in their local government. Members will advise the Biddeford City Council on issues that affect youth in the community and complete service projects that make Biddeford a better place to live.

The next session of the Youth Advisory Council will run during the 2022-2023 school year, with meetings held at least once per month. Members will select a day and time for meetings. Additional time outside of regular meetings may be required to complete projects or plan events.

The Youth Council will be open to Biddeford students in grades 9-12. All members must either live in Biddeford or attend school in Biddeford. Homeschooled students and students who attend a private high school but live in Biddeford are all welcome to participate.

Applications are now being accepted for the program year starting in November 2022. For more information about the Biddeford Youth Advisory Council, please contact Danica Lamontagne, Assistant to the City Manager.
