Citizens Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting

A Public Hearing is scheduled for the purpose of obtaining citizen comment regarding amendments to the Citizen Participation Plan, consolidated Plan, the Year 2 Action Plan (to address CDBG covid virus stimulus funds) and for the Year 3 Action Plan. These Public Hearings are pursuant to Biddeford’s participation in the programs noted above. Please be advised that a 5-day comment period for input regarding these programs will begin Wednesday May 13 and end at 3:00, Monday May 18. Program information is available at https://www.biddefordmaine.org/DocumentCenter/View/7474/Citizens-Participation-Plan. Amendments include adjustments for hearings during the COVID crisis, the introduction of a job retention program to assist small businesses within the CDBG catchment area, and the approval of the Year 3 Action Plan to include service assistance to Meal on Wheels, Apex (43 Sullivan Street HUB) and Seeds of Hope, and assistance for rehabilitation of eligible owner occupied 2-4 unit structures.
