New for the 2020 Shellfish License Season: All non-resident recreational shellfish licenses will be issued by LOTTERY DRAWING.
Starting on May 1, 2020, any non-resident of Biddeford may enter into the non-resident shellfish license lottery drawing by going to the City Clerk’s Office and completing an entry card.
60 names will be drawn on Friday, May 22, 2020 and folks will be contacted by postcard if their name is drawn. Anyone whose name is drawn will have until June 15, 2020 to appear in the City Clerk’s Office, with proper ID, to purchase the non-resident shellfish license.
Anyone who is selected in the lottery drawing and does not purchase their non-resident shellfish license by the end of day on June 15, 2020 will no longer be able to purchase a license; and another lottery drawing will be held to issue any remaining non-resident shellfish licenses.
