While City Hall remains closed to the public and gatherings of more than ten people are strongly discouraged as part of social distancing recommendations, we are not able to hold meetings the traditional way in the Council Chambers. Instead, we will be using Zoom, a video conference tool, so that our Councilors can continue to complete business without meeting in person.
What does this mean for me as a viewer?
You will still be able to watch a livestream of meetings as you usually would on Public Access Channel 1301 or on our website.
What if I want to submit comments?
You can submit comments to the Council in three ways:
- Email contactallcouncilors@biddefordmaine.org
- Email carmen.morris@biddefordmaine.org
- By phone at 207-284-9020
Next Meeting
There will be a City Council Special Meeting on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:00 p.m.
The first items on the agenda are measures to provide financial relief to residents who may be struggling due to COVID-19 challenges, including a 60-day property tax deferment and a parking permit fee waiver for current permit holders. The Council will also have the first reading of bond referendum questions that voters would be asked to authorize at the June 9, 2020 election. There will be a public hearing on these items during the next City Council Meeting on April 7 at 6:00 p.m.
