Please be advised that a second Public Hearing has been scheduled by the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for September 16th via zoom for the purpose of obtaining citizen comment regarding the Citizen Participation Plan, Consolidated Plan, the Year 2 Action Plan (to address CDBG covid virus stimulus funds) and for the Year 3 Action Plan. This Public Hearing is pursuant to Biddeford’s participation in the programs noted above. Please be advised that a 5-day comment period for input regarding these programs will begin Wednesday September 9 and end at 3:00, Wednesday September 16, 2020. Program information is posted on the city’s web site at https://www.biddefordmaine.org/2221/Community-Development.  Amendments include adjustments for hearings during the COIVID crisis, the introduction of a job retention program to assist small businesses within the CDBG catchment area, and the approval of the Year 3 Action Plan to include service assistance to Meal on Wheels, Apex (43 Sullivan Street HUB) and Seeds of Hope, and assistance for rehabilitation of eligible owner occupied 2-4 unit structures. Provide input in writing by email to Mathew.Eddy@biddefordmaine.org or at the public hearing via zoom. Questions may also be answered through the same contact. In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, individuals wishing to submit comments and/or who need assistance participating in the Public Hearing should contact Mathew Eddy at 284-9115. In addition, those needing assistance due to language barriers may use the same contact.
