Holiday Hours
City Hall will be closing at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 24 and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28. The Recycling Center will close at 10:45 a.m. on December 24 and will reopen at its regular time on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
City Hall will be closed on Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1.
Holiday Trash Collection Schedules
Christmas Trash Collection
There will be no trash or recycling pickup on Friday, December 25. Trash normally picked up on Fridays will be picked up on Saturday, December 26.
Biddeford residents do not need to use Pay as You Throw trash bags for overflow trash on the dates listed below:
- Saturday, December 26
- Monday, December 28
- Tuesday, December 29
- Wednesday, December 30
- Thursday, December 31
After Thursday, December 31, PAYT bags will once again be required for all trash that does not fit in your green trash bin.
New Year's Trash Collection
There will be no trash pickup on Friday, January 1. Trash and Recycling pickup will take place on Saturday, January 2 instead.

Christmas Tree Pickup
If you are a Biddeford resident, you can have your tree picked up by the City for free by putting it on the side of the road on your trash collection day starting on Monday, January 4. The last day for curbside Christmas tree pickup is Friday, January 15.
Trees can also be brought to the Recycling Center during regular operating hours for free disposal: Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 AM – 2:45 PM, or Wednesday and Thursday from 9 AM – 4:45 PM.
