Welcome to Biddeford!
Incorporated in 1853, Biddeford was once known as a textile mill town. While we’ve gone through quite a few changes since then, we’re staying true to that legacy, creating a 21st-century economy centered around our mills and reviving our historic downtown.
Located on the southern coast of Maine along the Saco River, Biddeford is just 25 minutes south of Portland and less than a two-hour drive to Boston. We are very proud of our beautiful coastline (featured in New York Magazine as “The Maine Coast’s Most Beautiful Beach”), our public parks, and our growing list of community-building events.
