At the November 8 City Council Meeting, the Mayor and Council president will ask the City Council to support scheduling an open meeting on parking. The purpose of the meeting will be to answer any questions, clarify any confusion, present an overview of parking-related issues facing the community, and show how various projects and issues are connected and how the city is responding to these issues. This is part of the City’s ongoing effort to improve communication as well as to provide an opportunity for citizens to provide feedback on various goals and objectives. A major advantage of the open meeting format is that it eliminates many of the formal rules of City Council meetings so that a conversation about the issues can occur.
