The City of Biddeford, Draft Room, LLC, and their representatives will hold a public meeting on the proposed remediation and cleanup activities at the Riverdam Mill site (Buildings 3 & 4) located at 26-28 Pearl Street in Biddeford, Maine. The City of Biddeford and Draft Room, LLC are applying for a United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Brownfields cleanup grant and loan, respectively, through the Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC) Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Program. These funds will be used to abate hazardous building materials and remediate impacted soils at the site. A draft Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) and Remedial Action Plan (RAP) has been prepared for this project, which has been reviewed and approved by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MEDEP) and the US EPA.
